Nether Portal Creation
When no exit portal is in range, a new one is built within 16 blocks of the converted position.
Rules
| Building range | The new portal is built within 16 blocks east-west and north-south of the converted position, at the nearest suitable spot. |
| Portal size | A portal 2 wide and 3 high inside a 4 by 5 Obsidian frame with corners. |
| Suitable spot | Solid blocks under the whole frame, and a space 4 wide and 4 high of replaceable blocks without liquid. Spots with the same free space one block in front and behind are preferred. |
| No Nether spot | The portal is built at the converted position anyway, with its lowest portal block between Y 70 and Y 118. |
| No Overworld spot | The portal is built at the converted position anyway, with its lowest portal block between Y 70 and Y 310. |
| Forced build | A portal built without a suitable spot gets a 2 by 3 Obsidian floor, and the 2 by 3 by 3 space above the floor is cleared to Air. |
