Nether Portal Coordinates
One block in the Nether equals 8 blocks in the Overworld on X and Z; height is not converted.
| Overworld to Nether | X and Z are divided by 8. Y stays the same. |
| Nether to Overworld | X and Z are multiplied by 8. Y stays the same. |
| World border | A converted position outside the destination's world border is moved to the nearest spot inside it. |
| Rounding | The converted position is rounded down to whole blocks. Negative values round away from zero, so -0.5 becomes -1. |
| Exit position | The converted position is only where the search for an exit portal starts. The traveler arrives in the portal that is found or built, at the same relative spot as in the entrance. |
