Map Extending
Eight Paper around a Map craft into a Map one level larger, up to level 4.
Rules
| Ingredients | A Map in the center of a 3 x 3 grid with Paper in all 8 slots around it. |
| Level | The result is 1 level higher than the Map used. A level 4 Map cannot be extended. |
| Area covered | Level 0: 128 x 128 blocks. Level 1: 256 x 256. Level 2: 512 x 512. Level 3: 1,024 x 1,024. Level 4: 2,048 x 2,048. |
| Map contents | The larger Map starts blank and fills in again as the area is explored. |
| Kept details | The larger Map is for the same dimension, keeps its player marker setting and keeps its custom name. |
| Maps that extend | Only the plain Map can be extended. Structure maps such as the Woodland Mansion Map cannot. |
