Command
/teammsg
Sends a chat message that only the members of your own team can see. /tm is a shorter name for the same command.
| /teammsg <message> |
| /tm ... (the same as /teammsg) |
| Argument | Kind of value | What to type |
|---|---|---|
| <message> | Message | The text to send. It runs to the end of the line and may contain spaces. |
| Permission level | 0: every player |
| Works in | No permission level is required (level 0), so every player can use it in singleplayer and on servers. It must be run by an entity that is on a team, so the server console and command blocks can only use it through /execute as. |
| Short forms | /tm |
| Result | The message is delivered to you and to every online player on your team. Returns the number of players who received it. |
| Team required | Fails with "You must be on a team to message your team" if the sender is not on a team. |
| Alias | /tm <message> does exactly the same as /teammsg <message>. |
/teammsg Meet at the baseSends "Meet at the base" to your team only.
/tm I found diamondsSends the message to your team using the short name.
/tm Need help at spawnAsks your teammates for help without other teams seeing it.
