Command
/spawnpoint
Sets the personal spawn point of one or more players.
| /spawnpoint [<targets> [<pos> [<rotation>]]] |
| Argument | Kind of value | What to type |
|---|---|---|
| <targets> | Target selector | The players whose spawn point is set. Defaults to the player running the command. One or more players. |
| <pos> | Block position | The block position of the spawn point. Defaults to the position the command is run from. |
| <rotation> | Rotation | The direction the player faces after respawning, as yaw and pitch. Defaults to 0 0. |
| Permission level | 2: operators, worlds with cheats on, command blocks and functions |
| Works in | Singleplayer with cheats enabled, multiplayer servers, command blocks and functions. Needs permission level 2 (gamemasters): operators, players in a world with cheats enabled, command blocks and functions. |
| Result | Reports the new spawn point with its coordinates, facing direction and dimension, and the player's name or the number of players. The number /execute store saves is the number of players whose spawn point was set. |
| No arguments | Without arguments the spawn point of the player running the command is set to their current block position. This form only works when a player runs it; command blocks and the console must name the targets. |
| No position | With targets but no position, the position the command is run from is used. |
| Dimension | The spawn point is set in the dimension the command is run in. Use /execute in to choose another dimension. |
| No Bed needed | A spawn point set by this command does not need a Bed or Respawn Anchor. The player respawns there as long as the block at the position and the block above it leave room to stand. |
| Rotation | The rotation is yaw and pitch, the direction the player faces after respawning. Without it the direction is 0 0. The pitch is limited to the range -90 to 90. |
| Position limits | The position must be within 30,000,000 blocks of the center horizontally and between Y -20,000,000 and Y 20,000,000, otherwise the command fails with "That position is outside the allowed boundaries". |
