Command
/deop
Takes operator status away from one or more players.
| /deop <targets> |
| Argument | Kind of value | What to type |
|---|---|---|
| <targets> | Player profile | The player or players to remove from the operator list, as a player name or a player selector. |
| Permission level | 3: server operators with level 3 or higher |
| Works in | Dedicated multiplayer servers only. It does not exist in singleplayer or in worlds opened to LAN. Needs permission level 3 (admins). Command blocks and functions run at level 2 and cannot use it. |
| Result | Reports "Made (player) no longer a server operator" for each player. The number /execute store saves is the number of players who lost operator status. |
| Not an operator | Players who are not operators are skipped. If none of the targets was an operator, the command fails with "Nothing changed. The player is not an operator". |
| Whitelist | If the server uses a whitelist and enforces it, players who are online but not on the whitelist are disconnected after the change. |
/deop SteveSteve is no longer a server operator.
