Command
/advancement
Grants advancements to players or takes them away, either one at a time, a whole branch, or all of them.
Syntax

Arguments
| Argument | Kind of value | What to type |

| <targets> | Target selector | The players to change. Accepts a player name or a selector that picks one or more players. |
| <advancement> | Game id | The id of an advancement, for example minecraft:story/mine_stone. |
| <criterion> | Text | The name of one criterion inside the advancement. Everything typed after the advancement id is used as the name. The rest of the line. |

| Permission level | 2: operators, worlds with cheats on, command blocks and functions |
| Works in | Singleplayer with cheats enabled and multiplayer servers. Needs permission level 2 (gamemasters): server operators, players with cheats, command blocks, and functions can all run it. |
| Result | Reports which advancement or how many advancements were granted or revoked and for whom. The number /execute store saves is the number of advancements actually changed, added up over all targeted players. With a criterion, it is the number of players whose criterion changed. |
| grant | Completes the chosen advancements for the targets by awarding every criterion they are still missing. Fails if every target already has all of them. |
| revoke | Removes the chosen advancements from the targets by taking back every criterion they had completed, including partial progress. Fails if no target had any progress in them. |
| everything | Selects every advancement loaded in the world, including the recipe advancements. |
| only | Selects just the named advancement. Add a criterion name after it to grant or revoke a single criterion of that advancement instead of the whole thing. |
| from | Selects the named advancement and every advancement that follows from it in the advancement tree. |
| until | Selects the named advancement and every advancement leading up to it, back to the root of its tab. |
| through | Selects the named advancement, everything leading up to it, and everything that follows from it. |
| Unknown criterion | If the criterion name is not part of the advancement, the command fails with a message saying the advancement does not contain that criterion. |
