The required level is the item level divided by 10, from 1 to 70. Ancient: 10% of its drops from level 70 enemies and level 70 treasure chests (9.98% on Nightmare and Inferno, where the Black Mist roll comes first). An Ancient item costs twice the gold to upgrade and sells for twice the gold. Black Mist: 0.2% of its drops from level 70 enemies and level 70 treasure chests on Nightmare and Inferno. A Black Mist item requires level 70, is never Ancient and stays tradable until its mists are revealed.

Legendary drops
Drops from enemies of level 40 and higher and from treasure chests they drop, only for heroes of its classes.
