Translate game data

Updated 2026-07-22

Some wikis are built from a game, with their facts in tables of spells and weapons. This is how to translate the words inside those tables.

Mark a column

Most columns are not words. A damage number is the same in every language, so you tell the wiki which columns hold real words.

On a dataset's page, ticking Translatable next to a text column is what makes it show up on the Translations page.
  1. Open your wiki and click Manage.
  2. Open the dataset you want to translate.
  3. Find the column in the list of columns.
  4. Tick Translatable next to it.

Only a column you mark shows up on the Translations page, and only text columns can be marked.

Translate the rows

A marked column puts its table on the Translations page under “Game data”, as the same two-column table you see everywhere else: original on the left, your box on the right.

The translation table: the original word on the left, your translation on the right. An empty box just means it is not translated yet.
  1. Open Manage, then Translations.
  2. Tap the language you want to work in.
  3. Open a table under “Game data” and fill in the rows you want.
  4. Click Save at the top. It stores everything you typed in one go.

The bar at the top counts what is done and how many boxes you changed but have not saved. You do not have to finish in one sitting.

On a wiki with reviewSaved words wait as your proposal first.
The row showsAn In review tag, with your word still in the box.
Saving againUpdates the same proposal rather than opening a second.
Changed your mindThe In review box has a Withdraw button.

Where it shows up

Everywhere that word appears on the wiki, a reader in that language now sees your version. The pages built from the table, the lists and the cards all pick it up on their own.

A row with no translation yet is never a hole. The reader simply sees the wiki’s main language for that word.
