Auto-translate with AI
Updated 2026-07-14
Wikily has no “translate everything” button. This is why, and how an admin can let their own AI assistant do the same work instead, for free.
Why there is no auto-translate button
So instead of one button that spends money for everyone, you bring your own helper. It translates on your own subscription, so there is nothing extra to pay.
This is a job for admins. A normal editor needs none of it, and can keep translating by hand on the Translations page.
How the AI helper works
Your assistant does nothing hidden. It runs the same round trip a person would do by hand, only much faster.
- Check the wiki for words and game data that still have no translation.
- Download only the missing entries, the same file the Download button makes.
- Translate that file inside your own AI session.
- Upload the finished file back, the same way the Upload button does.
Community corrections always win. Anything a real person typed is never overwritten by the assistant, which only fills in the empty gaps.
The exact commands live in the MCP server README in the platform repository (tools/mcp/README.md).
