재고, 카운터, 진열장, 쓰레기통에서 밀수품과 장물을 수색한다. 장물은 확률적으로만 발견되고, 잠기거나 숨긴 물건은 발견되지 않는다. Critical-Level Contraband는 체포, High-Level Contraband는 벌금, Mid-Level Contraband나 장물은 압수, Low-Level Contraband는 경고로 끝나고, 깨끗하게 통과하면 Security 평판이 3 오른다.
밀매 범죄가 50에 이르면 3~5일마다 오고, 750 이상이면 1~2일마다로 짧아진다(VIP perk가 있으면 오지 않는다).
진열장에 심각한 밀수품이나 장물이 있는 날이면 언제든 온다.
검사관으로 위장한 수배 방문객으로, 그리고 변장한 Lou로 한 번.
On each scheduled inspection the Security Inspector, Shady Security Inspector and Lazy Security Inspector are equally likely (1 in 3 each) while your Bribery of Security Personnel record is under 500; from 500 only the Security Inspector comes. Never Shady or Lazy with the No Stone Unturned perk. Inspections set off by goods on the counter or in the display case are always the Security Inspector.
