Rune Slots and Levels
Runes unlock at player level 40. The 6 rune slots open at levels 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65.
Rune levels
A rune starts at rune level 1 and goes up to level 6. An attribute is worth its base value plus its per-level value for every rune level above 1.

Trading
Set Runes can be traded on the Aldenreach Auction until they are equipped. Rare and Uncommon runes cannot be traded.
Before a Set Rune is equipped, a prompt asks: "Equipping this rune makes it untradable forever. Equip anyway?"
