The Concept and Cultural Impact (Pocoyo vs. Pepee) While Pocoyo targets the pre-nursery (0-3 years) era with a minimalist, plain white background, Pepee focuses on the nursery and kindergarten era. Even though they cover similar lessons and topics, Pepee is a much more advanced and high-level cartoon than Pocoyo. It still commands a massive and highly loyal fanbase in Turkey today.

Pepee’s house is a warm, traditional home with a large garden that perfectly reflects a classic Turkish family structure. As the characters grow up, their world expands.

Pepee The main protagonist. As he grows up, he becomes a massive motorcycle enthusiast and runs a cozy cafe where all his childhood friends gather.

Bebe Pepee’s adorable younger sister who grows into an independent individual.

Şila (Cousin) Pepee's cousin through his maternal aunt (teyze). She was Pepee's closest companion in the early seasons, and there was a subtle hint of a childhood crush, but they are aunt-cousins. She grows up to become a normal school teacher. Interestingly, once the kindergarten era begins, she is pushed into the background and is rarely seen.

Mimii (Cousin) She is cousins with Tutuu through their paternal uncles (amca). She is NOT a cousin of Pepee or Şila. She has a musical soul and seems to have a crush on Pepee. In the future, she becomes a music teacher and a kindergarten educator.

Tutuu (Cousin) He is cousins with Mimii through their paternal uncles (amca). He is NOT a cousin of Pepee or Şila. Artistically gifted, he grows up to be a professional pianist.

Zeze Introduced during the kindergarten era, she clearly has feelings for Pepee. She is deeply associated with bicycles and scooters—whenever you think of a scooter, you think of Zeze. She also has a younger sibling whose name is unknown.

Bibi A very shy and introverted boy who has a massive crush on Şila. He is highly analytical and grows up to be an engineer.

Kekee A highly motivated character who overcomes physical challenges to become a wheelchair basketball player.

Duduu Elegant and artistic, she pursues her passion to become a ballerina.

The Elders (Mother, Father, Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt, Uncle): The core support system of the show, representing the tight-knit, loving, and traditional values of a big Turkish family.
