IMPORTANT PLEASE READ - Bepinex Required

Going forward Vamparas requires Paralib downloadable here to work correctly. Place the .dll file inside your Bepinex Plugin Folder with your other mods.

This mod is in early development and lacking in a lot of features to make it "good" It is fun to mess around with but maybe not substantial enough currently for a themed playthrough. I will try to add more content in the future however!

If want to add some occult flavoring to your paralives gameplay look no further! This mod adds a functional vampire occult, in the form of a personality trait, a Vampire Lore learnable skill, 4 together cards and 3 story cards.

To turn your Parafolk into a Vampara you have 2 options

Check "Vampire" at the bottom of the personality menu inside the paramaker. OR Ask a parafolk you know to be a Vampara to turn you via together card. (Requires Lvl 6 Vampire Lore, Friend Label, & knowledge that the parafolk is a vampara)

Sweet now I'm a Vampire... What does that mean?

Vamparas have their hunger need removed and replaced with a bloodthirst need. It decays slower than hunger but requires drinking the blood of non-vamparafolk. You can forcibly drink from unsuspecting victims if you don't care about the social repercussions or ask a parafolk you have a healthier relationship with for some blood donations.

Vamparas aren't too happy in the sun however. When outside in broad daylight a UV sensitivity bar will appear. If it gets low you should consider sending you para inside or else something bad may happen!

Vamparas will have their aging halted at young adult or later. Immortality!

Vamparas are infertile, doesn't matter how many times you try for baby it will never work.

Vamparas emit a creepy aura that unsettles parafolk around them (unless they are knowledgeable in Vampire Lore making them no longer afraid)

Learning Vampire Lore at a computer or bookcase will unlock more together card interactions.

Dracula Pack

This mod adds a new themed story card pack giving your parafolk new life goals. Cards in this pack may require a parafolk who is or is not a vampara, and has some amount of vampire lore knowledge.

FAQ

Q Vegan Vampire Options?

A I would love to include such a thing in a future update. I however am not experienced much in 3d modeling and would need assets made.

Q Custom Animations?

A I would love to include them in a future update, but I do not have any experience creating that sort of thing and while a little silly the kiss animations work good enough for right now.

Q Can you add xyz?

A I am very open to suggestions. The modding tools are limited and I am not very experienced in 3d modeling/animation, but I would like to expand this mod with features to make it feel more complete over time.

Known Issues

• UV sensitivity stops working when parafolk are not on a lot. It also can be buggy at times.
• There is no way for me to currently autonomize going inside when UV is low. If left unattended to parafolk may burn themselves alive, there is no fix at this time.

I originally made this mod to limit test and learn the game's included mod tools. I reached those limits, then decided to press further and add missing functionality myself by creating Paralib.
