Amaya loves life, her culture, and her abuela, but she can't help but feel like she's missing something since losing her madre at a young age. Lupe loves her nieta with all her heart. The night she lost her mija, she didn't think she would survive her heartbreak. Crying with sorrow, she remembered it's just her and Amaya now. The life they have now is all they know. With Amaya growing curious about what's out in the world, how will Lupe be able to cope on her own? How will they grow into their next phase of life? Together or apart?
