Mod description
Sometimes you just need some simple shapes to enhance your building. Create custom walls, claddings, platforms, stairs, ramps and much more! This is a work in progress and needs some time to grow. Feel free to request specific items (simple shapes)!
Catalog location Architectural Details -> Misc
Catalog search terms mod, resizable, shape(s), pebbles, goodoldpebbles
I highly recommend my mod “No Overlapping Icons” (click here), otherwise it will be a bit fiddly to adjust the shapes to your liking.
Features
Shapes Cuboid, Cylinder, Triangular Prism, …WIP
Seamless Textures - Choose between 4 texture scales
Choose between 3 path finding impacts: Path Blocking, No Path Blocking, Can be walked on
Can be walked on You can build fully functional platforms, small stairs and ramps! When you build stairs, keep in mind that the step height needs to be lower and the animation for walking will be used on them.
The scaling function only affects two axes, so you can easily determine the thickness of columns.
The shapes are paintable! For now, you can apply wall paints (floor, ceiling and roof paints become also available while holding ALT).
Snapping and Stack Function I’m not sure how much is good to work with. For now, I’ve enabled “three side” snapping (like the other items in architecture-misc) and “can be stacked on” / “can stack on other” on every item. If you catch yourself being annoyed by any of this, please let me know!
Update – 4th October
Walkable items have now floor interactions! Big thanks to Sophia J Caldwell for enlightening me about the floor interaction option! Now you can click on walkable items and tell your para to walk there. Or to do pushups. Whatever you like. To make building easier, I created stackable and non-stackable variants. Have fun building functional platforms, small stairs and ramps!
Deleting old items by the end of October I’ve realized the debug mod also unhides items from other mods, so the old items without auto-tiling still show up in the build catalog. Since I don’t want to unnecessary clutter the catalog I’ve decided to delete them after all. I renamed them to “Obsolete – Don’t use” and set the date for deletion to the end of October, so you have time to replace them with the new items.
Thank you Largergoal for the mod idea! I’m open to feedback and suggestions, let me know about issues!
