Mod description
Welcome to Merewick – The Worldbuilding Collection, my largest collection for Paralives so far.
This collection started as a creative exchange with Aden from Devon Bumpkin, whose Create a World series on YouTube follows the creation of the town of Merewick.
While watching the series, I kept finding myself thinking about objects and building tools that could make worldbuilding a little easier and open up new possibilities. So I started creating a few pieces specifically inspired by Merewick.
A few pieces turned into a few more.
And then a few more.
And somehow, we ended up here.
What started as a handful of worldbuilding assets has grown into my largest collection so far, covering waterfronts, bridges, landscaping, street furniture and traditional architecture.
I’ve had an incredible amount of fun creating these pieces and seeing them become part of Merewick. From the beginning, I promised that everything I created for the project would eventually be made available to everyone, so here it is.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Worldbuilding & Waterfront
Cobblestone Rug Modular Quay Wall Modular Stone Bridge Modular Wooden Bridge Matching Bridge Walls and Railings Matching Bridge Lights Lighthouse
Nature & Landscaping
Cypress Tree Hedge of Dreams, Small Hedge of Dreams, Large Merewick Bush
Street Furniture & World Details
Victorian Street Light Traditional Drinking Fountain Old Draw Well British Telephone Box British Post Box Rough Stone Wall in Multiple Variations Two Additional Stone Wall Designs Stone Corner Pieces Decorative Fence Matching Fence Pillars Fence Pillars with Lamps
The Decorative Fence is technically a decorative object rather than a regular in-game fence, but it still blocks Paras from walking through it, allowing it to function like a fence in your builds.
Traditional Architecture
Shop Door Shop Surround Georgian Front Door Matching Georgian Window Matching Transom Window Window Molding Resizable Architectural Door Surround System Individual Architectural Trim and Surround Pieces
Many of these pieces are designed to be resized, repeated, stacked or combined with each other.
The idea behind the collection isn’t to give you one finished version of Merewick. It’s to give you a worldbuilding toolbox that you can use to create your own streets, waterfronts, bridges, harbours and buildings.
QUAY WALL & BRIDGE TUTORIAL
The Quay Wall and Bridge systems can be a little fiddly until you know how they are intended to work.
I’ve created a short tutorial showing how I recommend placing the Quay Walls, how to build the modular bridges and how to make both systems reliably walkable for your Paras.
A huge thank you to Aden / Devon Bumpkin for the inspiration, enthusiasm and this whole creative exchange. Watching Merewick grow has given me a ridiculous number of ideas, and creating these pieces for the project has been an absolute joy.
Now they’re yours too.
Build with them, resize them, combine them, completely misuse them in ways I never anticipated, and most importantly, have fun creating your own worlds.
