Can I buy a Residence lot?
Yes. Residence is the one lot type players can purchase in Early Access build 1. Households can buy an empty plot in the property market, then design and live on it.
A 30×30 plot (900 m²) ≈ $4,500 for empty land. Platforms cost $25/m².
Running costs: electricity bills every 7 days ($0.076/kWh, $0.12/min for high-use appliances), water bills every 7 days ($0.10 per unit), and municipal taxes every 3.5 days at 5% of lot value.

The default town fills with 134 NPC households at game start. 27 of them spawn into furnished residences. They are nameless on the data layer - their family names get generated procedurally when you load the save.
