Katamichi Winder Staircase

Two quarter-turn versions of the base-game Katamichi staircase. The straight flight uses the original Katamichi steps and railing, and a set of winder steps turns the staircase 90° around a newel post, so both versions blend right in with the original. They are perfect for hallways and corners where the stair has to start or arrive from the side.

The set comes with two staircases

Katamichi Winder Staircase the turn is at the bottom. Step on from the side, turn on the winder steps, then climb the straight flight to the floor above.

Katamichi Upper Winder Staircase: the turn is at the top. Climb the straight flight from the floor, then turn on the winder steps and step off sideways onto the upper floor. The underside curves smoothly up under the turning steps.
