What this mod adds
Description:
While Sleep Actions should always last longer than Nap Actions, Paras should be able to wake up from their sleep to resolve needs like using the bathroom or grabbing a midnight snack.
This mod was quite tricky to tune.
In addition to waking up to relieving needs, I wanted to make sure that sick paras could still do so, work shifts were considered and influence their decisions, and they need to also be prone to going back to bed if their sleep need wasn’t so great after the nature’s call (but still above the <= 4 triggers of the regular sleep action).
All must be done without causing paras to choose the go back to sleep action with the higher sleep value at just any time (i.e. only under certain conditions and within a certain time of getting out of bed).
So, after days of trial and error, here it is.
Paras should wake up at 3 or less hunger, hygiene, or bathroom need. They'll then not go back to bed until those needs are above 4. The sleep action also won't break until it's at least 5. And also of course if the sleep need is full. And each sleep action will always be at least 2h.
After waking, paras should autonomously go about filling their needs, and if they do so (and whatever other side-actions they decide) within 4h42m of getting up, then they'll go back to bed. They return to sleep with a higher sleep need than the regular ReliefNeed_Sleep choice, since this represents getting up in the middle of sleep and going back to bed. That return to sleep choice will happen if needs are satisfied (above 4 at least), and sleep is >= 9 if it's a workday, and >= than 8 while disregarding hygiene need if it's not a work day. With one added check that they haven't done the sleep action more than twice in the last 18h (meaning they won't get up and go back to bed repeatedly all day, but only once or twice, depending).
Toddlers have also been given wake-up conditions to reflect that, well, they do that too. But seeing as they are less disciplined as toddlers, they'll just stay up until their sleep goes back down to 4 or less like in vanilla.
