  • Enemies rising beside the road

    Campaign and Heroic Challenge only

Besides the regular waves, extra enemies appear at fixed spots off the road and walk onto it. In Campaign they come in waves 1 to 5, 7 to 11, 13 and 15, 435 in total (136 Skeletons, 235 Zombies and 64 Giant Rats); in Heroic Challenge in waves 1 to 5, 77 in total (40 Skeletons and 37 Zombies). A wave's extra enemies stop coming once the next wave starts, and Iron Challenge has none.

  • Nevermore

Clicking the crow makes it fly away and unlocks the Nevermore achievement.

BriefingThe stage's story before the battle

We'll look back fondly on that ambush at Rotwick, for now the Royal Road brings us to the Necropolis! As our men make their way through ancient crypts and ransacked tombs, they grow restless with the staggering amount of open graves. The preternatural silence only makes it worse, as it is undoubtedly but a preamble to another attack by the forces of darkness.
