Tech tree
Five research branches. Building, Metallurgy and Farming open on waking up at home in the intro; Theology opens during the quest Holy Moly!; Anatomy and Alchemy opens on placing the first body on the autopsy table. Each technology costs red, green and blue tech points, earned by gathering, crafting, using certain items and studying new items at the Study Table, and needs every technology connected to it on its left. The Cooking tab is not researched: its 20 dish groups unlock for free.

Knowledge of nature and of the nature of things.
Spiritual knowledge of the immaterial world. The first blue point comes from the Study Table in the church basement.
A character's portrait in the tree: it opens once the research before it is done and the reputation with that character reaches the value shown.
The Cooking tab is not researched: its 20 dish groups cost no tech points, and each is granted by one event: harvesting Carrot, Beet, Cabbage, Onion and Pumpkin; catching Kraken Jr, Mythic Carp, Celestial Salmon and Elder Catfish; repairing the Table, repairing the Oven, crafting Berry Pie and crafting Baked meat; using Flesh; or the quests Planted and Delivered, The Quiet Art, Fish for the Fisher, Yummies and Love Story.
