There are 11 milestones on the map. Each one is activated once, at the milestone itself; every activated milestone opens the map and travels to any other activated one. The Royal Foundry's milestone sits underground and is shown on the map at the foundry.
The 6 regions
Each has its own page with its map pins and what is there.
The Keeper's base: the Yard and Garden work zones, the Keeper's Home, the Abandoned Tower with the Alchemy Lab and the stairs down to the basement workshops.
The junction east of the graveyard where the roads to the Village and the Town meet, with a fast-travel milestone and the Nun's house.
The village south of the Crossroads: the Village Tavern, Herm's Store, the Royal Services mailbox and a fishing spot.
The woods south of the base, guarded on the road to the Village. It has a fishing spot on the river, and the bandit Hans is found here.
The marsh at the southern end of the map, home of the Goddess of Nature statue and a fishing spot of its own.
The walled Town east of the Crossroads. Most of the game's battles are fought in its streets, and its houses, market stalls and workshops are restored plot by plot.
Map questions
How many resource nodes are on the map?
378: 172 trees, 78 ore and stone nodes, 7 clay and sand nodes, 63 mushroom, flower and honey spots and 58 berry bushes. Their categories start switched off in the side panel.
Why is a character's pin on a door?
Interiors - the Village Tavern, the Dockside Club, Jack's Workshop, the Astrologer's Tower and the rest - are separate spaces the game keeps off the map. A character or work zone inside one is pinned on the door that leads to it.
What do the battle markers mean?
They are the battle icons from the in-game map. The game shows a battle's icon from the quest step that opens the battle until the battle is won; several battles share one spot, and the pin lists them all.
