The six-day week

The six-day week: what happens on each day
Gluttony, Sloth, Lust, Envy, Pride and Wrath - one weekly event each, and a missed day costs you a week.
A week in Graveyard Keeper 2 has six days, each named after a sin and drawn as a glyph on the wheel in the top-left corner of the screen. The big weekly events are tied to one day each: battles, the merchant ship, the storm that powers zombie resurrection, town orders and Mass. Miss the day and the next chance is six days away, so the calendar is worth planning around.
- 6
- Days in a week
- Sloth
- Battle day
- Envy
- Resurrection day
- Wrath
- Mass day
The wheel starts mostly empty. Each glyph is added by a story step - Wrath after your first ceremony in Holy Moly!, Sloth after the first town battle in First... Sludge?, Pride when Workshop Hours begins - so an empty slot means that day has nothing for you yet.
Day 1: PR Machine day - raise the zombie limit
Day 2: Battle day - fight for the Town
Day 3: Ship day - the Port comes alive
Day 4: Storm day - resurrect zombies
Day 5: Market day - town orders and trader reset
Day 6: Mass day - hold a sermon
What each day does
Gluttony is the only day the PR Machine accepts a load. Put Newspapers and Charged Hypno-devices on it to raise your zombie limit for one to five weeks, depending on what you feed it. The machine appears after Congregation Trouble.
- Day of the week
- 1 of 6
- What it is for
- Raise the zombie limit
- Prepare the day before
- Charge Hypno-devices with Faith and print Newspapers during the week before, so the machine is fed the moment Gluttony starts.

Town battles can only be started on Sloth: the battle opens at the start of the day and locks again at its end. The Town's bell rings every Sloth morning, and most of the zombies pull back to the town centre.
- Day of the week
- 2 of 6
- What it is for
- Fight for the Town
- Prepare the day before
- Build barricades and towers near your base, equip your zombie squads with armor and a pike or bow, and pack healing potions before Sloth starts.

Once a week, on Lust, a merchant ship docks at the Port. The Trademaster on the Main Pier has new exotic goods, Linda brings in new townsfolk if you gave her advertising, and she takes the Green Scrolls your houses produce, raising citizen reputation and your happiness limit. At the very end of Lust the Resurrection Lab's power is restored for Envy.

Every Envy a lightning storm strikes the tower and powers the Resurrection Lab for the day. That is the only time the Resurrection Device works. The Goddess of Nature also leaves blue crystals near her statue after every Envy - the crystal every zombie collar needs.

- 4 of 6
- What it is for
- Resurrect zombies
- Prepare the day before
- Have corpses ready on the table, with Reanimation Liquid, Faith and a collar that fits each corpse's red skulls.

Town orders can only be accepted on Pride. Pride also resets every trader, and with it the weekly cap on the happiness each trader can give you for special goods.

- 5 of 6
- What it is for
- Town orders and trader reset
- Prepare the day before
- Stock the goods the Town asks for so you can accept and fill orders the same day.

Every Wrath you can hold a sermon at the Church, and only on Wrath. The Nun ties her corpse deliveries to it too: each Wrath she tells you how many corpses you will need for the week. At the end of Wrath a running PR Machine program counts down one week.
- Day of the week
- 6 of 6
- What it is for
- Hold a sermon
- Prepare the day before
- Have enough happiness and church quality for the prayer you want, and keep the graveyard tidy: a successful sermon pays coins for every point of graveyard quality.

Calendar questions
What happens if I miss the day?
The event simply waits a full week. The Resurrection Lab tells you there is not enough power until the next Envy, the battle planner says battles are available on Sloth, and the Church says the ceremony is available on Wrath.
Which day is best for selling?
Pride. Every trader is reset that day, which also resets the weekly limit on the happiness each trader gives you for special goods, and it is the only day you can take new town orders.
When can I resurrect zombies?
Only on Envy, when the storm powers the Resurrection Lab. The power comes back at the very end of Lust, so a corpse prepared on Lust is ready the next morning.
