Research Centres

How research works

Vets carry out research. They need a powered Research Centre on the path network: the Research Centre - Small has room for one researcher, the Research Centre - Large for six. Staff put animal care, such as feeding and treatment, before research. The in-game Research Centre help also names keepers, but only vets can be assigned to research.

Species research splits the vet's time between watching the animals at their habitat or exhibit and working in the Research Centre. Its levels reveal thriving requirements, boost fertility, add the species' education topics and enable release groups. Some species also need an Observation Network and a release in a Wildlife Reserve before their later levels can be researched.

Disease research raises the immunity of every susceptible species against that disease. Enrichment research adds toy and food enrichment, and education research adds education topics. Completed research counts across the whole hub.
