How conservation projects work

Conservation projects take cash, staff time, animals and release groups from your zoo. Staff sent to a project leave the zoo and work in the field for a while. Projects mostly reward Conservation Credits; some institutions also give animals or release groups, which are claimed under Gifts in Animal Trading.

Conservation Credits

Conservation Credits (CC) are spent on adopting higher tier animals and on conservation project requirements. They are earned by releasing release groups into Wildlife Reserves or quick releasing animals (animals with a higher interest rating, in their prime and with better genes earn more) and from conservation project rewards. In Franchise mode, animal trading and community challenges also earn CC. Credits are not shared between Franchise and offline modes.
