Owners and admins can change the sidebar, fonts and backgrounds with the visual controls. Sign in on your wiki, then open Manage › Theme. The sections sit in a rail on the left, with Search settings above them (press / to jump there). The preview stays visible while you adjust the settings. Save theme publishes the look you choose.

This example changes only the illustration. Open Manage › Theme on your wiki and Save theme to publish. The artwork is a sample, not a game image.
Sidebar colours and layout
Open Manage › Theme › Brand & colours and choose a Starting point, such as Woodland for forest colours and brass accents. Then adjust Accent and Headings.
Open Theme › Sidebar › Look. Use Layout for the overall style, Style for a starting look of its parts and Colours for the sidebar's own colours.
Parts lists the panel, rows, current page, icons, headings, sections and folders, tags and dividers, and the collapse button. Click one to open its settings; rarer ones sit under More options. Everything starts as the layout draws it, and the preview shows each change.
Click Save theme to publish your appearance changes.
Brand & colours › AccentCategory headings, icons and the current-page marker.
Brand & colours › HeadingsPage headings and the current page name.
Sidebar › Look › Colours › LinesSidebar borders and dividers.
A starting point changes the whole palette, including page and card colours. Woodland also sets its fonts and sidebar layout. Pick it before making individual adjustments.
Choose the fonts
Navigation labelsTheme › Typography contains Sidebar font for navigation rows and Sidebar heading font for category headings. The same two fonts, text size and Uppercase labels are under Sidebar › Look › Parts › Rows, heading size and spacing under Parts › Headings.
Article text and headingsTheme › Typography also contains Body font and Heading font. Match body makes headings use the body font.
Inter keeps long text and navigation readable. Cinzel gives headings the inscription style used by Woodland. Fonts in the picker are bundled with Wikily; no upload is needed. Both sets of fonts publish with Save theme.
A game's own font goes under Theme › Typography › Your fonts: upload a WOFF2, WOFF or TTF file, or choose one from the wiki's media, then set its name, weight and style. The name then heads every font picker of the wiki. Add one file per weight.
Style each part of the sidebar
The layout gives the sidebar its whole look. Sidebar › Look › Parts changes one part at a time on top of it, without CSS: square rows, an edge tab on the current page, icon frames, banded headings, a narrower panel. A part you never touch stays as the layout draws it.
Every layout is only a starting point: each part applies on all of them, and an empty number shows the value the chosen layout uses. Layouts that draw their own current page start its marker at Layout; pick a marker to draw it instead.
Parts › RowsShape, text size and weight, height, spacing, hover colours, wrapping, hover frame picture.
Parts › Current pageMarker, text colour, outline, edge tab, diamonds or underline, notched corner, depth, frame picture.
Parts › IconsSize, colour, hover colour, frame (tile or picture), drop shadow.
Parts › HeadingsLabel, underline, lines, band or plate; colour, size, weight (Thicker letters for pixel fonts), spacing, capitals.
Parts › Sections and foldersIndent, guide line, folder headers drawn like rows or headings.
Parts › Tags, dividers and searchTag look and position, divider look, search box.
Parts › Collapse buttonStyle, label, colours, corners, notch, frame picture.
A frame picture is a small image whose edges stretch round the part, like a pixel-art plate. Upload it, then say how many pixels of its edge are the frame (one number, or four for top, right, bottom and left).

On the Theme page, Sidebar › Look › Colours and Page & content use the same background controls. Image fit and Overlay appear after an image is added.
On Manage › Theme, use Sidebar › Look › Colours › Background for navigation or Page & content › Page background for the page.
Choose a solid colour, or set Gradient start, Gradient end and Gradient angle. A gradient replaces the base colour.
Click Upload background image, or fill Background image URL. Choose Image fit and add a translucent Overlay to keep labels readable.
Click Save theme. Check an article and the mobile navigation drawer.
CoverFills the area. Part of the image can be cropped.
ContainShows the complete image. The base fills any remaining space.
TileRepeats at the image's original size, useful for seamless textures.
Remove imageRemoves the artwork and reveals the colour or gradient below it.
Background videoUpload MP4 or WebM, or set Background video URL. It loops muted. The image is its poster and the reduced-motion fallback.
Theme › Page & content also has Card background and Card border. Those change the content surfaces, independently of the page background.
Forest and brass example
Choose Woodland to apply this look, then adjust it to your game. Hex values can be entered directly in the colour fields. Its page uses a radial gradient; changing the two gradient stops replaces that with a linear gradient.

Start from another wiki's theme
On the wiki you are styling, open Theme › Import & export, then Copy from another wiki. Search the public wikis and choose a source.

What gets copiedSidebar layout, colours, fonts, backgrounds, Wiki CSS and Sidebar CSS.
Preview firstYour draft stays intact until Apply to draft. Back to my draft leaves it unchanged.
After applyingApply to draft enables Save theme. Adapt the look before saving. Future source changes do not update your copy.
Background filesImages and videos keep their source URLs. Upload your own files to replace them; copying a theme does not migrate assets.
Navigation, pages, datasets and the destination wiki's identity stay as they are. Set those up separately from the theme.
Copied CSS for specific pages or block classes still needs matching pages or classes on the destination wiki. Adapt those rules under Theme › Custom CSS, in the wiki.css and sidebar.css tabs.
Keep and reuse a theme
Theme › Import & export keeps a copy you can reuse. Copy your current theme code before a large change, or paste one as the starting point for another wiki. Imported changes are a draft until you click Save theme.
Copy theme codeKeeps colours, fonts, background settings, Wiki CSS and Sidebar CSS together.
Copy sidebar codeJust the sidebar: its Theme › Sidebar settings, its Sidebar CSS, the fonts it uses and the colours it takes from the wiki. Pasted into another wiki, only that wiki's sidebar changes.
Apply pasted codeLoads a theme or a sidebar into the preview. Save theme publishes it.
Revert allReturns to the last loaded or saved look without publishing anything. Reset section does the same for one section, and Undo and Redo step through your edits.
Reset theme and CSSRestores the default look and clears both custom stylesheets. Save theme applies the reset.
A theme controls appearance. Navigation labels, page content and individual block styles are edited in their own screens.
When a change does not show
All rows stay the sameUnder Theme › Custom CSS, check sidebar.css and wiki.css for rules that set the same colour, background or font. Custom CSS can override the theme.
One row stays the sameSelect it under Theme › Sidebar › Entries (or click it in the preview), open Style, and clear its own colour or font override so it follows the theme.
One page block stays the sameIts Properties can have an explicit background, font or CSS class. Clear that override if it should follow the wiki.
A background image hides the colourThe artwork sits above the base. Remove the image to see the solid colour or gradient.
The old look returns after reloadThe preview was not saved. Click Save theme and wait for its success state.
No design controlsWiki-wide appearance needs the owner or admin role. Page editing permission alone is not enough.
Copy your theme code before changing existing CSS. Remove only the rule that overrides your setting. Page blocks and custom navigation items can still carry individual styles after a theme reset.
