X-Otter
Variant
Overview
The X-Otter is a small piscivore variant with a passive taming method. It benefits from a +5% melee damage bonus but suffers a 3% reduction in Health compared to the base Otter. This creature is primarily used for its lightweight utility and ease of transport in aerial carriers.
It can be airlifted by Argentavis, Desmodus, Griffin, Karkinos, Megalosaurus, Tropeognathus, Kaprosuchus, Procoptodon, Pteranodon, Quetzal, Tapejara, or Tusoteuthis for rapid deployment across large maps.
Spawn Locations
X-Otter does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
The X-Otter is tamed passively, requiring no knockout or sedation. Feed it Raw Mutton for the fastest taming process. Cooked Lamb Chop also works, though it provides less affinity per use.
The taming process takes about 9 minutes with Raw Mutton at level 150 on official rates. No narcotics are needed. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Drops & Harvest Resources
Killing an X-Otter yields Hide, Raw Meat, and Pelt. The Hatchet yields the most Hide and Pelt, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat harvest.

Damage Resistances
