Mod description

What this mod adds

A furnished take on my Midcentury Modern ranch house, outfitted for one or two parents and their teenage child. This carport-proud midcentury brick ranch has been home to a small family for over a decade now. Through every storm, its firm build and wood-rich interior supports a warm nest to return to, and, even with the high-pressure front of teenage years progressing overhead, nothing is likely to fell it. Though they don't necessarily understand their teenager's new interests and habits, the parent(s) still love(s) them. Likewise, while they don't understand their parent's(') taste for cocktails and birds, they still love their parent(s). And despite all this love, the house is surprisingly well-kept, with little damage from about 15 years of childhood terror and moody tantrums! Still, there are a few shadows of this life lived, tucked in corners, lost in shelves, and buried in the sandpit. Not forgotten, just hibernating. Not a particularly cluttered go at making this build of mine seem lived-in, just a still life of a contemporary family's habits in a classic American home. There's a (hopefully) modest motif of the "home as a tree" throughout the living space, but the intention was not novelty, simply an organic emergence of somebody's predisposition towards green, birds, and wood. So much wood. The office follows this trend for now, though with time it might become a gamer's den. The bedrooms are less cohesive in style, but still reflective of their residents... I hope. I tried! About $45,000 to place, two (or three, counting the office) bedrooms, one (still very difficult to look at) bathroom. A few mods were used for clutter and furniture, so those are listed as requirements. The house import system remains a bit weird and buggy, so be patient with it and have good luck!
