R-Carbonemys

Variant

Overview

R-Carbonemys is a herbivorous variant of the Carbonemys with enhanced melee damage and reduced health. It excels at gathering a wide variety of plant-based resources quickly while ridden.

It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Tusoteuthis for rapid deployment across long distances.

Spawn Locations

R-Carbonemys does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.

R-Carbonemys must be knocked out before taming. Use a Chain Bola or trap it with a Bear Trap, Large Bear Trap, or Plant Species Y to immobilize it.

Feed it Regular Kibble for the fastest taming. Mejoberry is a slower alternative. The process takes about 20 minutes and requires no Narcotics. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Drops & Harvest Resources

Killing R-Carbonemys yields Hide, Raw Meat, and Keratin. The Hatchet harvests the most Hide and Keratin, while the Pick maximizes Raw Meat yield.

Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.

Gathering Abilities

While ridden, R-Carbonemys gathers from multiple categories including berries, fiber, mushrooms, rare flowers, sap, seeds, and wood. Its attack harvests 10× yield on resources like Mejoberry, Narcoberry, Stimberry, Rare Flower, Rare Mushroom, and Wood.

Damage Resistances

R-Carbonemys has a strong resistance to fire damage, taking -60% less from fire-based attacks. It is highly vulnerable to instant melee damage, spike walls, and explosive attacks, taking up to +120% more damage from these sources. Level Health and Melee Damage.

Hitbox Multipliers

The head has a 1.0× damage multiplier, making it the optimal zone for efficient knockout. The body has a 0.2× multiplier and the tail has 0.5×, meaning these zones are significantly less effective for targeting.
