The baby Deathworm takes approximately 3 days and 20 hours to fully mature at default rates - at a glacially slow pace - plan for a multi-day commitment. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The Deathworm's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Deathworm gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.

Planning a mass raise? The Deathworm raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~556 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Deathworm babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
The Deathworm, a carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is a notable presence across multiple maps. It belongs to the Variant category.
At 20,000 base HP, the Deathworm is one of the toughest creatures in the game. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Deathworm brings solid damage output to the table. With 100 base Stamina, the Deathworm has low stamina reserves. Weight capacity starts at 100, giving it average weight tolerance.
The Deathworm roams the ARK as a wild, untamable creature. Defeating one in the wild grants 3000 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0 Element plus 0 Element per level.
