The Enchantsmith is not sure you are strong enough to challenge the Illager High Council and their dangerous new soul magic. To prove your worth, you have been tasked with tracking down a particularly nasty Evoker and retrieve some stolen enchantment books. If you can improve your items with powerful enchantments, you may be ready to face off against the enemy.
