Defeating an enemy has a chance to create a well that grants you and your allies the Fortifying status, protecting you from enemies.

Levels

  • Shielding Smite I

    Defeating an enemy has a 10% chance to create a Fortifying well for allies.

  • Shielding Smite II

    Defeating an enemy has a 20% chance to create a Fortifying well for allies.

  • Shielding Smite III

    Defeating an enemy has a 40% chance to create a Fortifying well for allies.

Enchantment book

The Shielding Smite enchantment book grants level I. The Enchantsmith (in Brave Haven, Howling Woods, Frozen Highlands and Rainy Plains) applies it to an item and upgrades it to level II and III as the Enchantsmith's level rises; the book is kept and can be used any number of times. Enchanting needs Echo Shards.
The Shielding Smite book drops in the loot of The Sift.
