Frosty death-NightmareWith this ice-cold build, you can simply wipe everything away—even on Nightmare difficulty. Just use the Blizzard spell when you need a shield, or the Breeze spell if you want to quickly take out a wave of enemies in a danger zone. How it plays

Playbook

Breeze freezes enemies in a wide cone without dealing damage. It is the first Frost spell, unlocked at level 1, with a 40 second cooldown. Version 0.2.0.20 swapped its unlock position with Cube.

Strategy

Aim it at the group, not the priority target. A frozen wave stops advancing, which is worth more than damage when a melee build needs a moment. The Frost Bite joker grants 2 shield points for every melee kill on a frozen enemy, so Breeze into a melee weapon is a working defensive loop rather than two unrelated picks.

Strengths

Freezes a whole cone of enemies at once
Sets up Frost Bite: 2 shield points per melee kill on frozen targets

Weaknesses

Zero damage, the freeze is the entire effect
40 second cooldown, so it is not something you can lean on repeatedly
