Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising R-Giganotosaurus babies through all three growth stages. The Baby phase (0–10%) takes ~1464 minutes and is the most hands-on, requiring direct feeding or a Maewing.
The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale R-Giganotosaurus raises by totaling food across all babies. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Breeding the R-Giganotosaurus produces fertilized eggs that require careful temperature control. Incubation temperature must stay between 43°C and 44°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 2 days and 1 hour.
After hatching or birth, the baby R-Giganotosaurus matures over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game, reaching adulthood in about 10 days and 3 hours at 1x maturation. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The R-Giganotosaurus's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~1464 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~98h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~122h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted R-Giganotosaurus gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.
ARK: Survival Ascended features the R-Giganotosaurus as a tamable, carnivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. It falls within the Variant classification.
Its base Stamina of 400 gives it solid stamina reserves. Its base Melee Damage sits at 105%, giving it respectable melee power. The R-Giganotosaurus has 77,600 base Health - an absolute bullet sponge. Weight capacity starts at 700, giving it an enormous weight pool.
To tame the R-Giganotosaurus, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. Exceptional Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
As a tame, the R-Giganotosaurus combines solid harvesting capability with generous carrying capacity. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 43°C–44°C temperature window. A wild R-Giganotosaurus is worth 200 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.99 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
