Ossidon Taming Calculator
Knock an Ossidon to half torpor and get on. Torpor only holds it down for about ten seconds, so be ready to mount the moment it drops. Once you are up, use the bolus attack to catch wild creatures and to catch the icicles it throws: the two are counted separately and you have to fill both. A ride lasts a minute. A clean run matters more than a fast one here.

- Getting on is a separate window: torpor only keeps it down for 10s, and if you miss that, torpor will not rise again for another 20s.
- Getting thrown off costs 50% effectiveness, so it is worth waiting for a clean run rather than rushing one.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Ossidon is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the DMG category.
The Ossidon has 1,430 base Health - extremely durable. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Ossidon has decent hitting power. Stamina sits at 420 base, providing solid stamina reserves. Weight capacity starts at 500, giving it an enormous weight pool.
After taming, the Ossidon is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Defeating one in the wild grants 60 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.89 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
