Megachelon Taming Calculator

A Megachelon is tamed by bringing it a Parakeet Fish School, which the game renames a Microbe Swarm once it fixes on you. Find one in deep water and let it target you as a survivor rather than the creature you are riding, then lead it slowly to the Megachelon. From there progress runs off the swarm's health, so keeping the swarm alive is the whole job: Salmon and Coelacanth spawn specifically to eat it and have to be cleared as they arrive. Lose the swarm and the bar empties as fast as it filled.

  • The moment the swarm is gone the progress runs backwards at the same speed, so losing the fish is worse than never starting.
  • Progress runs at the swarm's health, so the swarm is what you protect. The fish circling it are the threat: they bite the swarm every few seconds and respawn, and clearing them is the job.
