The Lightning Wyvern reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 80°C and 90°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~3 days and 20 hours (1x rate), progressing over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

Raising a baby Lightning Wyvern involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Lightning Wyvern gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Lightning Wyvern is a tamable, flying, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Flyer group.

The Lightning Wyvern has 1,295 base Health - a proper tank. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Lightning Wyvern has decent hitting power. Stamina sits at 315 base, providing decent staying power. A base Weight of 400 means good carrying capacity.

After taming, the Lightning Wyvern is commonly used for scouting and quick travel between locations. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 80°C and 90°C. Defeating one in the wild grants 120 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.82 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
