Mod Maps

Kairuku must be knocked out before taming. Use a Bola or Bear Trap to immobilize it, then apply tranquilizer darts with a Crossbow or Longneck Rifle. The best food is Basic Kibble, with Raw Mutton as a viable alternative. Taming takes about 5 minutes using Basic Kibble. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Drops & Harvest Resources

Killing a Kairuku yields Hide, Raw Meat, and Organic Polymer. The Club or a Polymer-harvesting dino yields the most Organic Polymer, while the Hatchet maximizes Hide and the Pick increases Raw Meat yield.

Damage Resistances

Kairuku takes +120% more damage from Instant HurtDinos, making it highly vulnerable to certain environmental hazards. It has -100% damage taken from Mining Drill Harvest, rendering it immune to drill-based attacks. Exploiting its explosion weakness (+50%) with grenades or rocket launchers is effective in combat.

Kairuku Tips & Tricks

The 80% weight reduction on Organic Polymer makes Kairuku ideal for polymer farming runs. It can be carried by flyers like Argentavis and Tapejara, enabling aerial logistics. Its vulnerability to Instant HurtDinos means it should avoid high-risk zones. It is immune to damage from Mining Drills, making it safe near automated mining systems.

This page details the Kairuku's stats, taming, breeding, harvest data, and combat properties. For precise planning, refer to the taming calculator, breeding calculator, and spawn map tools available on this site.
