The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the Drakeling. Expect ~150 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale Drakeling raises by totaling food across all babies. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Breeding the Drakeling produces fertilized eggs that require careful temperature control. Incubation temperature must stay between 17°C and 20°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 14 minutes.
The baby Drakeling takes approximately 1 day and 1 hour to fully mature at default rates - slowly. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~150 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~10h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~13h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Drakeling's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.
Found throughout the ARKs, the Drakeling is a tamable, flying, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Ignore classification.
Starting at 150 Health, it's on the squishy side. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Drakeling has solid damage output. Stamina sits at 150 base, providing moderate endurance. Weight capacity starts at 65, giving it very limited carrying capacity.
This is a passive tame: no tranquilizers needed. Get close without startling it, then offer food from your last hotbar slot. Its preferred food is Exceptional Kibble.
As a tame, the Drakeling is a versatile flyer useful for scouting, traversal, and light transport. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 17°C and 20°C. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.28 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
