Planning a mass raise? The Aberrant Manta raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~222 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Aberrant Manta babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Instead of laying eggs, the Aberrant Manta carries its young through a gestation period. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.
After hatching or birth, the baby Aberrant Manta matures requiring significant patience, reaching adulthood in about 1 day and 13 hours at 1x maturation. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Aberrant Manta involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~222 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~15h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~19h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Aberrant Manta's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.
The Aberrant Manta is a tamable, aquatic, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Variant group.
At 307 base HP, the Aberrant Manta is moderately tough. Melee starts at 106% - respectable melee power that scales with level-ups. Its base Stamina of 270 gives it decent staying power. A base Weight of 200 means modest carrying capacity.
This is a passive tame: no tranquilizers needed. Get close without startling it, then offer food from your last hotbar slot. Its preferred food is AnglerGel.
As a tame, the Aberrant Manta is well-suited for deep-sea exploration, cave diving, and ocean resource runs. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. Killing a wild Aberrant Manta yields 4 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.21 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
