Biome
The bright, biodiverse Shallows-tier biome. Highest creature variety in the build and the heartland of the cooking pipeline.
Sub-regions
Coral Gardens covers a sprawling shallow shelf split into ten named pockets: Anemone Hills, Blighted Coral, Graveyard, Leadzone, North Raceway, South Raceway, Plateaus, Shallows, Tufa Towers, and the Shallows split across the seam.
It is the densest fauna biome in the current build. Halfmoon shoals dominate the open water; Geordies, Pneuma and Bullethead populate the rocky pockets; Anemone Crabs, Four-Eye, and Coral Crabs occupy the reef edges. Most early-game cooking chains start with fish caught here.
Coral Gardens is also where the Marrowbreach starts to appear, and the Blighted Coral pocket contains corrupted variants tied to mid-game story beats.
Sorted by how often they spawn in this biome. Numbers are the count of placement points; higher means you'll meet one within a minute of swimming.

Sunken Axum architecture wrapped in coral, with mid-depth power-plant chambers and root-canyon caves.
Sparse Plains
The Clamily mid-depth flats. Lower creature density, more open water, and rarer mineral deposits.
Deep Start
The depth-rated descent corridor down to the Void. Where Tadpole crush warnings start firing.
Collector Leviathan Arena
Boss arena. One Collector Leviathan, no respawn. The hardest single-target encounter in the build.
