Variant
Calculate expected resource yield per node for any dino. Select a node type and harvester.
Each hit on a node generates resource drops. The game randomly picks a resource from the loot table for each drop. Higher melee depletes the node faster, which can reduce total drops. The "best" melee is where you get the most drops.
Compare dino harvest yields from creature corpses. Select a corpse and up to 3 harvesters to compare.
Each hit on a corpse generates resource drops based on damage dealt. The game randomly picks a resource from the corpse's loot table for each drop. Higher melee depletes the corpse faster, which can reduce total drops. All dinos get the same resource distribution from a given corpse - the difference is total drops from base damage.
Found throughout the ARKs, the VR Lymantria is a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Variant group.
With 260 base Health, the VR Lymantria is relatively fragile. With 100% base Melee Damage, the VR Lymantria has respectable melee power. With 150 base Stamina, the VR Lymantria has decent staying power. Weight capacity starts at 175, giving it a reasonable inventory size.
You'll need to knock the VR Lymantria unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. Regular Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
As a tame, the VR Lymantria can serve multiple roles depending on how you level its stats after taming. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 35°C and 38°C. Defeating one in the wild grants 3 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.15 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
