VR Lymantria
Breeding the VR Lymantria produces fertilized eggs that require careful temperature control. Incubation temperature must stay between 35°C and 38°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
After hatching or birth, the baby VR Lymantria matures over a lengthy period, reaching adulthood in about 1 day and 6 hours at 1x maturation. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby VR Lymantria involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~185 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~12h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~15h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the VR Lymantria gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

Planning a mass raise? The VR Lymantria raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. The Baby phase (0–10%) takes ~185 minutes and is the most hands-on, requiring direct feeding or a Maewing.
Raising multiple VR Lymantria simultaneously? Set the dino count and the calculator scales food requirements automatically. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Found throughout the ARKs, the VR Lymantria is a tamable, flying, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Variant group.
With 260 base Health, the VR Lymantria is relatively fragile. With 100% base Melee Damage, the VR Lymantria has respectable melee power. With 150 base Stamina, the VR Lymantria has decent staying power. Weight capacity starts at 175, giving it a reasonable inventory size.
You'll need to knock the VR Lymantria unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. Regular Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
As a tame, the VR Lymantria is commonly used for scouting and quick travel between locations. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 35°C and 38°C. Defeating one in the wild grants 3 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.15 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
