Paraceratherium
Paraceratherium is a land-based herbivore in ARK: Survival Ascended, pulls double duty as both a capable resource harvester and pack animal. As a herbivore, it responds to knockout taming - favoring Superior Kibble - and ships with 850 base Weight, providing excellent carrying capacity. It gives live birth after a gestation period, with offspring maturing over many real-world days, demanding serious time investment. Once tamed it harvests Hide, Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat more efficiently than most player tools. Players target Paraceratherium once they need a reliable workhorse beyond the starter mounts.
Found across 22 maps in beaches, grasslands, and river areas. Green zones have the highest spawn density. Each species has a population cap per area, so wiping out other creatures nearby can trigger new Paraceratherium spawns.
