Microraptor Egg & Breeding Calculator

After a successful mate, the Microraptor lays a fertilized egg. Incubation temperature must stay between 24°C and 28°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~2 days and 6 hours (1x rate), progressing slowly. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.

Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.

21:47:11
The dinosaur reaches the juvenile stage, where it can now eat from a feeding trough, reducing the need for direct feeding.
Adolescent

27:13:59
The dinosaur reaches the adolescent stage, becoming more independent and able to follow you while continuing to grow toward full maturity.

Raising a baby Microraptor involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~327 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~22h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~27h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Microraptor gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the Microraptor. Budget ~327 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.

Raising multiple Microraptor simultaneously? Set the dino count and the calculator scales food requirements automatically. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

The Microraptor is a tamable, flying, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Shoulder Pet category.

Stamina sits at 100 base, providing tires quickly. Melee starts at 100% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. Health-wise, the Microraptor sits at 130 base, making it extremely fragile. It carries 45 base Weight - not built for hauling.

The Microraptor is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. For best results, use Rare Flower - it gives the highest taming efficiency.

As a tame, the Microraptor is commonly used for scouting and quick travel between locations. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 24°C–28°C temperature window. Defeating one in the wild grants 1 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.34 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
