To tame a Dreadnoughtus, feed it Element from your hotbar — it will follow you for 60 seconds. Kite it to an Element Vein (alpha-difficulty veins give better effectiveness) where it will begin feeding from the node. While it feeds, defend it from waves of corrupted creatures until the taming bar fills.

When Hatching Eggs make sure you have a bunch of Sweet Vegetable Cakes or a few thousand berries for them. I even force feed them berries at the start while they ate the cakes on cooldown to make sure they didn't die.
