Argentavis
The Argentavis spawns on 20 maps, typically found in mountains, cliffsides, and elevated terrain. Green cells indicate high spawn density, red means low. Click a cell to see exact spawn chance. If you can't find any, try clearing creatures nearby to free up the population cap.
ARK: Survival Ascended features the Argentavis as a tamable, flying, carnivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. It falls within the Farmer classification.
At 365 base HP, the Argentavis is decently sturdy. Its base Melee Damage sits at 100%, giving it decent hitting power. With 400 base Stamina, the Argentavis has good endurance. Weight capacity starts at 400, giving it good carrying capacity.
To tame the Argentavis, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. For best results, use Superior Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.
Once tamed, the Argentavis is a versatile flyer useful for scouting, traversal, and light transport. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 12°C–13.5°C temperature window. Killing a wild Argentavis yields 7 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.68 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
