To tame the Argentavis, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. For best results, use Superior Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.

Once tamed, the Argentavis is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 12°C–13.5°C temperature window. Killing a wild Argentavis yields 7 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.68 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
