Portable Oxygen Generator
  • OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
  • Construct with builder tool. Deploy in open water or attach to a hardpoint. Load battery and wait. Inhale collected oxygen from top valve.
  • BACKGROUND
  • A standard Alterra electrolytic oxygen generator, normally housed within a seabase or vehicle. Probably repurposed by pioneer colonists to provide a portable oxygen source without the resource requirements of a full submersible.
  • When powered, the oxygen generator drives electric current through seawater, splitting it into hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen is released into the seawater (where it bubbles to the surface) and the oxygen is stored for respiration on demand. Oxygen may be cut with inert gas to avoid toxicity at high pressures.
